I’m keen to understand what people are achieving fuel economy wise in the real world with the car.

I must confess that I don’t keep a close watch on my fuel consumption! However I’m sure that it’s very economical otherwise I would know all about it! The car registers average consumption in the 40+ miles per gallon range! I hope this helps you!

Thankyou Leonard. Let’s see what others have to say. 40+ is a good start. Was that for the 2.0ltr ?

I drive the 1.8 litre. In the summer it was doing between 50-60, but now doing 40+. I assume because of the cold weather its consuming more fuel and says EV mode unavailable hybrid battery low even when I have driven the car for 2+ hours.

Yes I’ve seen my systems registering 50 + miles per gallon from time to time! I feel though that it averages out around 40 +. But as I said earlier I don’t pay too much attention to fuel consumption, but I feel sure that if it were bad I would recognise it!
I think you’re right! In winter we get less consumption because heating and other car functions use more fuel!
I hope this helps you.

Yes thank you. However I am still happy with my car. It starts fine in the morning after 2 days parked outside in the cold on the drive and performs without a hitch (touch wood).

That’s my experience too! I find the car most reliable, comfortable, elegant, and responsive to drive! Fuel consumption is not everything in my opinion which is why I don’t pay too much attention to it, though as I say it would become apparent to me if it was poor! Clearly it isn’t poor and is very acceptable!

Thank you for all the responses so far. I’m getting quite a good feel for this car now, and in my opinion receiving feedback from actual users / owners rather than sales teams, helps immensely. Thank you

You are welcome. I drive in London and 40+ is not at all bad for fuel consumption.

I do keep a very close eye on my fuel consumption and in summer its between 56 62mpg, this time of year 45 to 50mpg and i do a lot of very short trips, ie 1 to 5 miles.

I also keep a close eye on fuel consumption and in the summer it gave me 67+ a couple of times.
