coping with hills

Hi Judy,
I haven't taken mine up mountain roads, but I have been up a few steep hills no problem! Overtaking is not an issue on the motorway either, there is easily sufficient power for acceleration with the 1.5 Hybrid engine. It's a really good car 👍😊

As Val said, overtaking on the motorway isn’t an issue as the car will accelerate very well - in fact if memory serves when you press the accelerator pedal hard then both the petrol and hybrid engines are engaged.
The same applies when climbing steep hills, you just use sufficient power to get there, but don’t expect rapid acceleration on hills unless you really want to ruin your petrol consumption

Thank you.

I have not been mountain climbing in mine, but I do live in Bristol, a city built on nine hills - no problem.
With regard to motor way driving there is enough acceleration two enable you to over take smoothly.
Judy
Thank you

I have heard that the Yaris Cross struggles when driving up hills or mountain roads. Also is it capable of overtaking on the fast motorways. I have the impression it is more of a town/city car.
Thank you
