Not sure where you are but most Toyota-approved dealerships have some excellent SH models.

No, the new hybrids are automatic transmission; it really doesn't make sense to use a gearbox with the Toyota eCVT because it blends the combustion engine with the electric motors using a seamless planetary gear mechanism - no gear changes, no cones, bands, or chains. The combustion engine is run at optimum revs and turned on and off according to the main battery state, road conditions, and driver demand.
Having been a long-time manual user with previous petrol-only Yaris models, I was doubtful about getting the automatic hybrid MK4, but after a year driving one, I wouldn't go back to a manual model if you paid me.

Thanks Dave. Any knowledge appreciated. Still pondering. Never considered an Automatic, although drove semi automatics and fully automatics in 33 years professionally. It has given me food for thought. So it seems, pending the wife's approval, that its either the Yaris manual or the Yaris Cross. She tends to be very picky, but with her mobility problems she will make the final choice.
Why I am looking at Toyota's - which I've never had before, is that her friend gives her a lift in her 2016 1329cc Yaris and she says it a lot easier to get in and out of, compared to the 21 plate Corsa we currently have.

Tyne and Wear. We have a Dealership about 4 miles away. To be honest only started considering it this last weekend. A lot on this week, but will get their in the next week or so.

I'd recommend test driving the options to get a feel for them. If you're buying from a dealer that should be no problem.

Maybe wrong, but is the Yaris or Yaris Cross not offered as a Manual drive?
