Just one point to be aware of - the interior lighting is usually rather subdued in order not to reduce your night-adapted vision too much if you or a passenger uses the light while night driving or during a brief stop.
Ideally, they would be red, but that would probably be a step too far...

I agree, but people do. The same issue may apply if you pull over briefly for some reason. That's why I suggested it's something to be aware of.
